ANBPR is the most representative professional organization of librarians in Romania, including over 3,300 active members from 41 counties, which has promoted in the last 30 years the concept of public library system at national level, by providing services adapted to the current needs of users. from Romania. ANBPR is a non-governmental and non-profit organization, active in the process of social inclusion for disadvantaged people, which is committed to stimulating participation in cultural, civic and lifelong education through close links with local communities that have experience in providing cultural and community services, especially in rural areas. ANBPR promotes dialogue between the main cultural "actors" in rural and urban areas of Romania: librarians, writers, artists, curators, teachers, educators or any other type of promoter of universal cultural and spiritual values ​​at the local level, using as "main stage" public libraries in Romania.
