Built Environment Research Centre (YTM) is an interdisciplinary research centre at Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara, Turkey, housing a large of number of researchers from various backgrounds. We have in the last few years carried out many projects for government and international organisations on numerous aspects of built environment including:
• Urban and rural poverty and inequality;
• Migration (mapping mobility patterns and integration problems of Syrian refugees);
• Airport transportation planning;
• Energy efficiency and carbon-neutral economy;
• Development in periurban areas;
• Urban and rural development planning;
• Housing for the poor;
• Building information management and modelling;
• Smart and responsible environments

An interdisciplinary team of researchers at YTM-METU, Ankara is looking to join a consortium for H2020 Topic-“Mitigating household energy ;
We have carried out in the past few years extensive interdisciplinary research for government and international bodies on various topics including but not limited to urban and rural energy poverty and inequality.
