Guillem Palà Nosàs holds a in Person and Society in the Contemporary World (UAB, 2018). In his thesis, apart from providing an overview of citizen participation in the Spanish context over the last decade, he explores the particularities of the organization and implementation of the Barcelona Senior Citizens' Conference, an adaptation of the Consensus Conference model to facilitate participation in discussion and decision-making at the political level by senior citizens on complex issues. He has also participated in co-design processes to prototype social robots for care tasks involving children and people from engineering and nursing. His work is guided by empirical ethics of care perspective that allows him to analyze how ethical concerns are inscribed in materiality and how documentation disseminates particular configurations of the worlds we share. He has presented more than a dozen papers at national and international conferences. He was an active member of the Spanish network of science and technology studies from 2012 to 2018. He is also a member of the European Association for the Study of Science and Technology (EASST) since 2013 and took part in the organization of the Post-Graduate Workshop that inaugurated the EASST/4S Conference in 2016.
