Municipality of Tetovo is a municipality in the western part of R.N. Macedonia. The center of the municipality is the city of Tetovo.
Tetovo is located in the northwestern part of Republic of North Macedonia, on the slopes of Shar Mountain, i.e. the Lower Polog Valley. Today, the municipality of Tetovo covers an area of 261, 89 km2, and together with the newly established municipalities resulting from it and which to this day gravitate towards it, that area is 1,053 km2.
Tetovo is located at 460 – 500 meters above sea level and has a temperate continental valley climate with an average annual temperature of 11.6 ° C.
From a demographic point of view, Municipality of Tetovo is a multiethnic environment with 86,580 citizens and is one of the largest municipalities in terms of population in North Macedonia.
