The AgroCluster Ribatejo was founded in 2008, is a private association of companies and entities in the agro-industrial sector whose main objective is the development of the agro-industrial sector and the increase of the companies competitiveness, through collaboration and cooperation between all entities related to the agro-industrial sector, taken advantage of (all) the benefits involved in working as a network and in cooperation. It is currently made up of 88 members, among them companies, entities of the SCTN (National Scientific and Technological System), Higher Education Institutes, Business Associations and Public Entities. The AgroCluster of Ribatejo is recognized by the Portuguese Government as Collective Efficiency Strategy.
pt;line-height:150%'>AgroCluster mission is to increase the collaboration and the cooperation between the companies and entities related to the agro-industrial sector, thus ensuring a broad participation of the entities directly related with the sector in the international, national and commercial circuits.
The strategy of AgroCluster goes through cooperation with their networking by supporting its members in: research, development, innovation and technology; entrepreneurship; development of new business models; development of new production and conservation procedures; training and qualification; marketing and internationalization and sustainable development.
