About Me
Wamãe is a ONG that produces visual anthropology, participatory art projects, cultural mediation and educational projects. In its first two years, the collective has worked with dozens of institutions of all kinds, and as a partner with academic institutions in research projects. The association was created as a way of facilitating the work of anthropologists who develop their work outside academia. Wamãe works with the conviction that anthropology is the discipline of agility, a necessary quality for reconciling the knowledge of various disciplines around problems that can only be addressed effectively if they are seen in their complexities.
