About Me

The Vocational Training Centre KEK GSEVEE was founded in 1995 on the initiative of the Hellenic Confederation of Professionals, Craftsmen & Merchants (GSEVEE), as a non-profit educational company.

It is an educational, nationwide, centre certified by the National Accreditation Centre for Continuing Vocational Training (EKEPIS), under the registration number 1111-1075.

KEK GSEVEE is based in Athens having branches in Thessaloniki, Ioannina, Larissa, Patra and Heraklion (Crete). Its human resources, permanently employed in the entity, consist of more than 50 trained and experienced scientific and managerial executives. Moreover, it holds up-to-date educational infrastructure of a total area exceeding m² and a full technological and electronic equipment for managing and implementing educational and scientific projects.

The main aim of KEK GSEVEE’s work is tackling the raising needs of employers and employees in Greek small and medium-sized enterprises for lifelong learning, education and vocational training.

The basic objectives of KEK GSEVEE’s action are to:

  • promote the lifelong learning concept and practice in small and medium-sized enterprises and broadly in Greek society;
  • contribute to upgrading craft and trade professions through continuous vocational training;
  • provide open, flexible, integrated and quality vocational training, aiming at knowledge and vocational qualifications’ modernisation;
  • promote the development of entrepreneurship skills, the effective use of contemporary IT applications and upgrading the technical skills of professionals, craftsmen and merchants;
  • contribute to the recognition and consolidation of knowledge and skills obtained in vocational training;
  • contribute to preventing and tackling unemployment;
  • foster the regional dimension of lifelong learning through the promotion of training activities in cities out of the major urban centers;
  • promote equal opportunities in training and in labour market access;
  • contribute to a level playing field in access to training and employment for people coming from socially vulnerable groups.
