Querer Ser – Association for Social Development is a non profit created in 2006, from the desire of its founder partners in creating a response to support families in extreme need situations, supporting their reestruturation and satisfying their basic needs, so they can assure their own sustainability.
Located in Rio Tinto (Gondomar), whose social context is characterized by an increasing number of unemployed and dependents of social support, and families with economic and social needs, Querer Ser seeks to promote and facilitate social inclusion through entrepeurnership, personal, social and professional empowerment of its audience, support and protection to families, children and young people, capacity building and orientation in job search and professional training, assistance in disability, seakness and old age of economically vulnerable population.
Querer Ser intervention has been developed in 4 intervention axes: long term and short term unemployers, monoparental families, domestic violence victims and in juvenile criminal prevention and health and well-being ;
