Proandi is a private VET in north of Portugal. It is situated in Póvoa de Varzim. Born in 2001 in Póvoa de Varzim as a providing external services for Safety and Health at Work. In 2006 starts its operations in the market as a provider of consultancy in food safety and hygiene services in order to comply with new legislation on hygiene and food safety. Vocational Education and Training is one of the early pillars of Proandi. We are accredited by DGERT and your team is very multidisciplinary. We work with projects financed by the SFE in the VET for youth and adults people (employed, unemployed) in many areas: food and drink, cook, TIC. We work in partnership with organizations with the objective is to get training responses of youth institutionalized or coming from disadvantaged families with serious economic and social problems. We can be an alternative to these young people with fewer opportunities, most often discredited life and a better future. Only with this teamwork frankly got encouraging results for those who believe in learning and the value of our youth. We work with 101 young people between 16 and 24 year old who have the 3rd cycle of basic education or equivalent, without completing secondary education and are attending the Cooking / Pastry, restaurant bar and multimedia. They are mostly young people who are at risk of dropping out of school, from lower socio-economic strata, from disfigured family contexts and from other disadvantaged groups, where their preparation, integration and follow-up to enable employability are indisputable and lifelong learning.
Promote hard and soft skills, intercultural dialogue between youngsters coming from different European contexts, using non-verbal communication is one of our goals. Allow our young people to discuss and share, through non-verbal communication, different cultures to improve cultural and social development of Countries is very motivated for us.
