- qualitative and qualitative responses of soil fungi to cropping practices, crop residues and organic amendments for developing cropping practices able to maximize C sequestration and minimize Nitrogen emissions of agricultural practices;
- microbial indicators of soil health in permanent and vegetable cropping systems;
- manipulation of soil microbial communities through plant genome/microbial interaction
