About Me

I am an Assistant Professor in Histology at the University of Ferrara, Italy. I have a long-lasting experience in genomic analysis of cancer, particularly adult rare tumors (sarcomas) and pediatric pathologies. I have been working for ten years in whole transcriptome and whole exome sequencing of rare tumors to discover gene expression and mutational profiles.

I am now following studies on Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors (GIST) and other sarcoma genomic profiling and disease modeling through iPSC. Outside the oncologic field I am also involved in Gaucher disease projects to discover signaling pathways linked to neuronopathic disease, through iPSC and drosophila models.
