About Me

Marca - Local Development Association, abbreviated as MARCA-ADL, appeared in 1997 in the municipality of Montemor-o-Novo, district of Évora, where it has its registered office. It is a non-profit association, with a legal status equivalent to the NonGovernmental Organization for the Environment (ONGA), it is recognized as a public utility entity. The association also manages a nursery of native plants, which has been certified by the Institute for Nature Conservation and Forests (ICNF) since 2019. The association's aims to “qualified development of the municipality of Montemor-oNovo, in particular the promotion of actions in the social, cultural, environmental preservation and enhancement of the natural and built heritage”. Marca-ADL work on the following subject areas: • Nature Conservation • Environmental education; • Citizenship and Human rights; • Tourism and Cultural Heritage; • Natural Heritage; • Social inclusion; • Employability; • Youth Participation.
