About Me

Vital Aid Foundation (VAF) was founded in The Hague the Netherlands, on November 23rd, 2004 as a not- for profit organization that intends to integrate the migrants and refugees into the Dutch culture. The mission of the organization is to assist migrants youths and women improve their socio-economic position and integrate effectively into society and the culture of the host country.

The Foundation has a national outreach in the Netherlands and other parts of the world in few selected African countries. VAF has broad expertise in promoting migrants’ socio-economic inclusion with the rights-based approach to development.

Interventions include gender equality and development rights of women and children, youth outreach, psychosocial support for victims of trafficking and domestic violence, access to non-formal education and job placement program, care and support for the elderly and physically challenged migrants, promoting cultural diversity and awareness activities on diverse issues of interest to migrants, research, advocacy on human rights, discrimination and racism.

Vital Aid Foundation operates with twenty volunteers and Ten (10) permanent staff.
