About Me

SIAC stands for Social Innovations Acceleration in Cities and is an eligable association that operates in Europe (for the moment). You can become a member of our association on personal account. Our network is build on PEOPLE and not institutions and we work on a number of questions. Our members work as social innovators, researchers & city policy makers from various European countries ;The first thing we did is defining the necessary features to run a Citizens Living Lab, that can operate in a cities/regions territory accelerating SI solutions through a certain method which we described. We aim for a structural place based specific approach that creates a local network grounded in a quadruple helix socio-economic politcal context. A network that can sustain itself after some time. We do not aim to create a new institution!

We are very dynamic group, we are all intrinsicly motivated and therefore always connecting to others or other groups, because together we know more. Use the wisdom of the crowd and what we find is open source. Currently we are busy with SI-friendly ecosystems, level playing field for citizens/innovators, brokerage, how can we preserve/implement found knowledge (the end of the projectcarroussel) the creation of local self-enabling networks and the digital solution for the latter two.

We are a Dutch registered association; open for members from everywhere that share our ideas and want to make our society a more inclusive and democratic.

Special note: I am not so very interested in institutions, public offices and consultancy agencies that only want me to work for free, because you are with so many. As research by TRANSIT has shown; a lot of innovators get disempowered because of all the free work they ;I also had that experience and because I feel no urge to repeat that revealing moment, I use my time accordingly :-).
