About Me
Cornelis Johannes (Kees) van Leeuwen, PhD is principal scientist at the KWR Watercycle Research Institute and Professor in Water Management and Urban Development at the University of Utrecht (UU) in the Netherlands. Currently he coordinates the City Blueprint Action Group of the EIP Water of the European Commission. Involvement in recent EU research projects include: TRUST (TRansitions to the Urban Water Services of Tomorrow; finalized in 2015), DEMOWARE (water reuse), DESSIN (ecosystem services), BlueSCities (making water and waste smart) and POWER (sharing knowledge and experience of water scarcity, security, quality and water consumption-related issues in different EU local authorities).
