About Me

I am Khalid DURI, CEO and co-founder of African Bamboo, a company with the vision to capitalize on bamboo-based materials that outperform traditional materials on physical, environmental and economic aspects. The transition from concrete, steel and plastics to bio-based materials has three main challenges: cost, strength, and safety. These challenges are met by African Bamboo’s innovation hub in Delft where advanced bio-based materials and key enabling manufacturing technologies are developed with renowned international partners.
