Our organization is the local authority of Konak district of Izmir province in Turkey. As a municipality, our target is to answer the needs of disadvantaged people, to improve their living conditions while giving them a chance to have a better future. We aim to create better living conditions for people with disabilities. We provide support for women who need protection, as well as improve their literacy rates. We try to help economically disadvantaged people by providing their basic needs, like food and shelter. We also help improve literacy rates among children and fight child labor by providing basic school supplies to families with low income. Our organization targets children, teenagers and adults from diverse backgrounds, especially those from disadvantaged groups. We are also accredited as a sending organisation for European Voluntary Services and are interested in carrying out EVS projects with accredited hosting organisations.
