About Me

I am s  Senior Lecturer in Simulation based education at RCSI, and have over 20 year's of experience in designing, delivering and evaluating teaching and learning across the healthcare professions. I work on  simulation curriculum design, programming, testing scenarios, and training simulation users on high-quality curriculum delivery and debriefing skills. My research i area of interest is understanding the social architecture and scaffolding required to learn in groups through SBE with a view to offering an empirically validated framework that can guide curricular instructional design. Particular attention focuses on the development of professional identity and the transferability of learning from SBE to lifelong learning habits.
