About Me

I am an Associate Professor and Director of the Wireless Intelligent Networks Center (WINC), Nile University, Egypt. My background and expertise is in the area of Wireless Communications and Networks with particular emphasis on 5G, Internet of Things, Energy harvesting networks, indoor localization and mobile Apps, , mHealth and D2D social ;I currently lead an active in research group with more than 90 publications in major international journals and top IEEE and ACM conferences in the field.

Since Oct. 2012, I have been managing a diverse research portfolio for WINC, of + million EGP. My research has been funded by national, regional and international sources, , Egypt NTRA, ITIDA, Qatar QNRF, EU H2020, FP7 and Erasmus Mundus, General Motors, Microsoft, Google and Vodafone Egypt Foundation. I have attracted research funds exceeding 5 million EGP over the past 4 years alone. My research spans various areas in wireless fundamentals, networks, and applications, ranging from 5G, green and RF energy harvesting networks, vehicular networks, D2D communications, cognitive radio and cooperative networks, to content delivery and opportunistic social networks.
