About Me

I work as Director of the Petroleum and Mining Geology Program, Galala University (Egypt), Associate Professor at the Geology Department, Faculty of Science, Menoufia University (Egypt) and Secretary of the Petroleum and Mineral Resources Council (Egyptian Academy of Scientific Research & Technology: ASRT). I am expert in applying isotope geochemistry, fluid inclusions, remote sensing, GIS, as well as the conventional geological techniques in the various fields of Applied Geology.

 

Research Interests:

• Economic geology: Exploration, genesis and geochemistry of mineral resources

• Remote sensing & GIS applications in mineral exploration, geological mapping & rain water harvesting

• Fluid inclusions and fluid-rock interaction

• Isotope geochemistry (S, C, O, D, Rb-Sr, Sm-Nd, Pb, Cu, Zn, … isotopes)

• Development of natural eco-friendly agriculture fertilizers

• Sustainable mining and circular economy

• Carbon sequestration and carbon capture

• Renewable energy (biofuel, biogas and geothermal)

• Hydrocarbon reservoir characterization

• Strontium Isotope Stratigraphy (SIS)
