About Me

Nuray Kizildag graduated from Textile Engineering Department of Ege University in 2000, started her career as a quality assurance engineer and later on took different roles in different textile companies between 2000 and 2007. She got M. Sc. Eng and Ph. D. in Textile Engineering from Istanbul Technical University in 2010 and 2017, respectively. Her work during and Ph. D. focused on functional textile materials. She has been working as postdoctoral researcher at Sabanci University, Integrated Manufacturing Technologies Research and Application Center since October 2018 and supporting SU-IMC’s efforts on the collaborative project, ISOPREP which presents a novel approach for the ionic liquid-based recycling of polypropylene from waste carpet. She is interested in smart materials, functional textile materials, nanotechnology, nanofibers, nanocomposites, composites, biomaterials, recycling and material characterization.
