About Me
I am interested in developing new non timber drought and saline tolerant perennial biomass resources on marginal lands and using those resources in the production of liquid biofuels, bioplastics and biopharmaceuticals. Establishing biomass on marginal land preserves quality land for agriculture. Drought tolerant biomass avoids the need for freshwater resources. Saline tolerant biomass allows production on saline damaged land. Any biomass production on marginal land improves carbon capture and reduces soil erosion. This is what we have to do if we are going to meet targets for sustainable biofuels and other materials plus the preserving of rural employment.
