About Me

Dr. Fuat Aras is an educator and a researcher currently serving as an Associate Professor at Istanbul Medeniyet University. Dr. Aras received his from Istanbul Technical University and and degrees from Boğaziçi University, Istanbul, Turkey. During and after his PhD. study, Dr. Aras worked as lecturer in the Civil Engineering Department of Anadolu University, in Eskişehir. Between 2009 and 2012, Dr. Aras worked as Design Engineer in his own company and participated into design of prestigious structures. In 2012, Dr. Aras joined to the new established state university in Istanbul to build a distinguished academic team of Civil Engineering Department in Istanbul Medeniyet University for education and research activities. The main research activities of Dr. Aras contain Earthquake and Structural Engineering, Preservation of Historical Structures, System Identification and Structural Health Monitoring.
