Dr Ashish Vashishtha joined Dept. of Aerospace Mechanical and Electronic Engineering at IT Carlow as Assistant Lecturer in 2019. He had earlier worked as postdoc at NUI Galway for emission estimation in gas-turbine combustor as well as at Indian Institute of Sciences, India in the area of experimental and numerical hypersonic flows and combustion detonation. He received his PhD from The University of Tokyo JAPAN in experimental and numerical unsteady hypersonic flows. He also has years of industrial experience regarding numerical spray and combustion modelling in IC Engines. He completed his Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Aerospace Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India with research in supersonic flows and high-speed jets.
