About Me

Founded in 2012 in the wake of the Tunisian revolution, the Laboratoire de l'Economie Sociale et Solidaire  (Lab’ess) is a Tunisian association, a player in the Social and Solidarity Economy sector. Its mission is to raise awareness, support and finance those who undertake in favour of the general interest, to which a dimension of advocacy was added in 2020 with the co-creation of the #tounessolidaire collective.

In response, Lab'ess is carrying out various innovative projects and programmes to support and raise awareness among people committed to making a positive impact: associations, project leaders, social entrepreneurs, students, support structures and universities. In this way, Lab'ess supports the associative movement and social entrepreneurship in line with its vision of being at the service of change agents to develop a more inclusive and sustainable economy.

Today, Lab'ess is present in Tunis, in its collaborative workspace, in the regions and also in the countries of the MENA and Mediterranean regions. It raises awareness, supports and finances all those who undertake projects in the general interest through various innovative projects and programmes.
