About Me

Association „Innovations for sustainable development“ is a non-governmental, voluntary and independent organization of individuals, working for the public benefit.  

The main objectives are as follow:

  • To develop and implement innovative approaches, methodologies and other tools oriented to finding solutions to common problems in Bulgaria and Europe.
  • To promote active citizenship, capacity building, support for democratic culture and human rights.
  • To achieve long-term sustainability of the civil sector.
  • To promote the development of entrepreneurship, to create new jobs especially among vulnerable groups and young people, by providing comprehensive services: information, advice, transfer of knowledge and skills through trainings, mentoring and building partnerships.
  • To support people of different age groups and their activities related to the promotion of lifelong learning and to improve their professional qualities including initiative, entrepreneurship, intercultural dialogue, development of social and civic skills.
  • To promote social inclusion, empowerment of vulnerable persons, including children, youth, elderly, long-term unemployed, inactive persons, Roma and others.
  • To provide support for the development of social entrepreneurship and professional integration in social enterprises.
  • To support capacity building in the public and NGO sectors by facilitating the exchange of best practices, experiences and information, including national, cross-border and international level.

Instrumentality to achieve the objectives:

  • Building partnerships with governmental and municipal institutions, non-governmental Bulgarian and international organizations working within the scope of the Association's objectives.
  • Participation in Bulgarian and international programs and projects, and other financial institutions to achieve the objectives of the Association ISD.
  • Development and dissemination of analyzes, reports, studies.
  • Cross-border, transnational and international cooperation in the form of development and transfer of innovations, capacity building and exchange of knowledge and best practices.
  • Organizing and conducting of conferences, seminars, meetings, round tables and other events with national and international participation.
  • Building relationships between foreign and local, regional and national authorities, consultants and NGOs on projects in Bulgaria and abroad.
