127 General Education Secondary School "Ivan N. Denkoglu", founded by the generous patron and patriot Ivan Denkoglu, is the oldest school in Sofia.
Today the school has 830 students in the primary, secondary and high school levels.
The school has been involved in European educational programmes since 2000 as a partner and coordinating institution in the framework of Youth in Action programme and Lifelong Learning programme. The school is a member of European Network Places of Peace (ENPP) and European network "Encomedia - Europe", Europe in relation to various forms of communication technologies and media. Last year the school coordinated Youth in Action project named "One photo, one hundred words" with partners from Italy, Greece, Romania and Turkey.
The school has taken part in COMENIUS project () Education to human rights in the age of globalization" with partners from Italy, Spain and Romania. School 127, Sofia have also piloted a mentoring programme and achieved much national publicity for this Comenius project. They have formed a partnership with New Bulgarian ;
