About Me

How to become 100 years old?

We want to interview, photograph and film 100 people in 100 countries, who are 100 years old. Why? See below:

What can you do to get a long and happy life? Science disagree. Some believe it is the genes, others believe it is your lifestyle, your social class, what you eat and drink, the cultures you belong to, etc.

We want to talk to the real experts

While the scientists discuss with each other we are going to ask the real experts – the people who are 100 years old. We will talk to 100 year olds in 100 different countries to see if we can find any similarities – or major differences across the different geographies.

What do we want to know?

For each person we want to know why they think they have become 100 years old. What is their recipe? We will ask them about happiness, attitude to life, how they tackled difficult times in life and their best advices for future generations.

We will interview, photograph and film them and their envionment to get the whole story

What will we produce?

A book

We will publish a book, where we introduce each of the 100 year old through photos and texts. Then there will be a chapter where we draw parallels across the stories from the 100 people we interviewed. And finally we will make conclusions and recommendations

A touring exhibition

We will create a touring exhibition, which in photos, texts and videoclips tell the story of the 100 people. Our hope is that the exhibition will make the visitors reflect on they way they live their lifes today. Are we making the right choices? Should we prioritise differently?
