About Me

Dr Spyros Avdimiotis is an Associate Professor, at the International Hellenic University and the associate director of the Sustainable Tourism Development Lab (TourLab). He is also appointed as a member of directors’ board for EPSILONNET company. His main scientific interests are knowledge management, strategic tourism planning, and innovation strategies. Among others, he actively participated in the development of Tourism Strategic Plan of the city of Thessaloniki (2019-2020), Tourism Strategy Plan of Chalkidiki, the development of the Cyprus Smart Specialization Strategy and the study of tourism environmental impact used for the National Tourism Spatial Planning law. He collaborates with major Greek and foreign universities and his scientific work is being published in various scientific journals and conference proceedings.
