About Me

Hello, I’m Dr. Sahbi HAMROUNI and it is a pleasure to introduce myself to you. I’m a Research Assistant in physics at the Laboratory of Nanomaterials and Systems for Renewable Energies (LANSER) -Research and Technology Centre of Energy (CRTEn) My Area of specialization is a Nanotechnology.

My new project idea is to isolate cellulose nanocrystals from a well-known and very cheap plant in my country Tunisia to synthesize biodegradable plastics from cellulose.

Applications for bioplastics:

•          Packaging

•          Food-services

•           Medical instruments and drugs

•          Fibers

•          Electronics

•          Automotive

•          Consumer goods and household appliances

We have extensive documentation about this research as well as various samples in labs.
