Mr. Kusse Haile Gemeyida is currently working as Assistant Professor of Agricultural Economics at Mizan Tepi University. He has obtained BSc. degree in Agricultural Economics from Mizan Tepi University, Ethiopia. He completed his MSc. degree in Agricultural Economics from Haramaya University, Ethiopia. He completed his Higher Diploma program in Teaching from Jimma University. He has currently serving as Coordinator, Institute of Coffee and Spice, Mizan Tepi University. He has served as Head of the Department of Agricultural Economics, Mizan Tepi University. He has served as member and chairman of different committees, organized national symposiums, delivered training and consultancy on different topics. He also engaging in activities related to climate, environmental action and social change through sharing scientifically reliable knowledge, raising awareness, planting trees, social campaigns with local communities, etc. He has volunteered for civil society organizations and Clubs in Ethiopia. He has successfully implemented research and community development projects addressed; Production Efficiency of Crops, Agricultural Technology Adoption, Value Chain Analysis, Market Participation and Commercialization of Cereal Crops, Farm Households’ decision to invest in Soil and Water Conservation, Assessment of Soil Quality and Local Knowledge for Evaluation of Soil Degradation and Shako Cattle Breed conservation and improvement. He has published his research findings in peer-reviewed international journals and participated on several conferences. He is member of the Ethiopian Coffee Science Society (ECSS), Member of the Mizan Tepi University Staff Voluntary Association, Member of the Space Science Society of Ethiopia (SSSE), Member of Ethiopian Economic Association, Member of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), Member of Agriprofocus and Member of ACSE. He is also editorial board member and a peer reviewer at different international journals.
