Looking for Partnership Looking for Extra EU Funds
I completed my BSc. in Zoology/Wildlife Ecology and MSc. in Applied Zoology (Parasitology) both from the University of Dar es Salaam Tanzania, and PhD from the University of Glasgow UK after writing a thesis on the ecology of Schistosoma mansoni infection in sympatric human and non-human primates in the Gombe ecosystem Tanzania. From 2001-2008, I worked on baboon research and conservation and was later Manager for the chimpanzee health monitoring project in Gombe National Park. Towards the end of 2008 I joined the University of Dar es Salaam where I have been teaching, supervising students and conducting research in biological and biomedical sciences. My recent research work has focused on studying the impact of improved sanitation and hygienic practices in lowering the burden of parasitic infections in Tanzania.
