About Me

PhD in Chemistry. General Manager of CNH2. PhD in Chemistry from Autónoma University of Madrid (1995). Master in PRLs (3 specialities) and internal MBA by IE. EOI professor for the Master on Management of Eco-innovative industries. Master professor of Expert in Promotion and Management of R&D&I international projects of UPM. More than 20 years of experience in R&D and European projects, as well as in management of different departments such as management, quality, R&D&i, and business development in multinational enterprises in different industrial sectors towards the development of new products, processes and industrial applications. Dr Nieto is co-author of 2 patents and 20 peer-review articles. Dr Nieto is expert evaluator of the European Commission for Horizon 2020 (SPIRE), for ERAMIN 2 calls, for KAVA EIT RM projects; advisory board of several EU projects (CRM_InnoNet and ChemWater), as well as Project Technical Advisor (nowadays reviewer) for FP7 and Horizon 2020 projects related to raw materials and industrial technological processes (MINERALS4EU, EURARE, PRODIAS, REE4EU, ADIR). Dr Nieto is member of the Operational Groups of EIP of Raw Materials on Horizon 2020 (OWs 1 and 5).

Management and coordination of the whole activities of the Centre, which is a 50% consortium between the Ministry of Economy, Innovation and Competitiveness and the Junta de Castilla La Mancha. It has 51 employees and is a non-profit public centre dedicated to research, development, and demonstration of new products/technologies/applications of hydrogen and fuel cells within the industry.

Main goals achieved: 3 new European projects (SME, H2020) and 14 National projects (CDTI, MINECO, Extremadura, JCCM, CORFO, FEDER) obtained, as well as 5 new industrial projects developed, 4 peer review articles and two book chapters.
