About Me

I graduated from the Department of Chemical Engineering (MEng), National Technical University of Athens in 2012 and I own a master degree (MSc) in “Science for the Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage” from the University of Bologna (2014). I conducted my master thesis at the laboratory of Archaeological Materials of the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, NCSR “Demokritos”, on “the effect of different consolidation treatments on the performance characteristics of natural stones”. In 2019 I obtained my PhD from the Technical University of Crete, working at the laboratory of Archaeological Materials of INN.My research was focused on the development and characterization of surface modified nano-composites for the consolidation and protection of porous building materials. My research was co-financed by the NSRF 2014-2020, the European Social Fund and the European Social Fund of the Greek State. Currently I amworking as a post-doc research assistant at the Laboratory of Archaeological and Building Materials of I.N.N.
