We are very interested in participating into as University /Social Sciences Department and in particular as Social Work programme in setting up collaborative networks and research consortium in asylum and migration area. Pros:
1. We are working in the field of asylum and migration the last 12 years and so far we have successfully implemented around 20 different competitive projects at both national and European level.
2. Currently, we lead a project, co-funded by AMIF and republic of Cyprus, to establish and operated 4 Migrant Information Centres (www.mihub.eu). We have employed mainly social workers and psychologists to run them and we have computerized the entire procedure with a tailored made software, developed specifically for the project.
3. At the same time we are involved in 3 additional EU projects (two E+ for migrants and in 1 RAC-DG Home). Apart from that, we recently finished one evaluation for the effectiveness of social interventions at schools with large numbers of third country nationals students as well as a research study for the UNHCR Representative office in Cyprus.
