Martha Papathanasiou
Martha Papathanassiou is the CEO & Founder of a Science Communication & Dissemination consultancy called INDIGO MED.
With over 15 years’ experience in EU environmental research projects, she has successfully cooperated internationally with distinguished research centres, scientific organisations and universities, providing effective dissemination of knowledge and outputs to the general public and stakeholders.
Her long-standing experience is in FP6, FP7 and H2020 projects, as she has served both as Task and Work Package Leader for communication, dissemination, training, education & capacity building.
Her expertise is in communication, dissemination, and stakeholder liaison. She has extensive experience in strategic communication, as well as event & social media management and in the planning, production, and management of informative content for online media.
INDIGO MED participated in the EU ERAMUS+ Project MATES: Maritime Alliance for Fostering European Blue Economy through a Marine Technology Skilling Strategy and the EASME “MedSkippers” project, responsible for ocean literacy and communication & dissemination activities respectively. Martha is now WP leader in the H2020 BRIDGE-BS project responsible for training, education and capacity building activities in the Black Sea.
She is also currently a consultant for Brilliant Solutions Engineering & Consulting (BRiS), providing consulting services related to dissemination and communication activities; event management for projects focusing on water and environmental science & policy as well as environmental science education activities.
