Ihor Savchak
· Over 15 years’ general professional experience, and over 8 years’ experience in senior management positions.
· 16 years of overall professional experience in the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of international projects and programmes in the sphere of culture, education, human rights, community development, capacity buildings, local policy reforms, civil society empowerment in the EaP region.
· Extensive Team Leader experience. Indicatively these seven (7) service contracts may be mentioned: 2015 – present for the National Endowment for Democracy; 2015 – present for the EU Delegation in Ukraine; 2010-13, 2010-12, 2007-10 and 2002-4 for the European Cultural Foundation; 2006-8 for the Centre for the Humanities. Sound knowledge and experience in different forms of leadership, change management, team building, organisation of supportive and learning environment, through these and other assignments with similar responsibilities.
· Good knowledge of the EU - ENP-East programmes, with working experience in Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Tajikistan and Ukraine.
· Over 10 years’ active participation in different EU and privately funded international projects in the EU - ENP-East region related to this assignment, through the activities of the Centre for Cultural Management (since 2002), and through individual projects throughout the years 2002-4, 2005-6, 2006-8, 2007-10, 2010-12, 2010-13, 2011, 2011-13, 2012, 2014, 2015-present, 2016-present)
· Experience of EU-funded projects include: “Bridging Gaps for Inclusive Civic Engagement“ (2016 – present, TL); “CHOICE – Cultural heritage: Opportunity for Improving Civic Engagement” (2015 – present, Ukrainian TL); “EaP Culture Programme II” (2015 - present, Steering Committee member); “Book Platform” (2014, Expert); “EaP Culture Programme I” (2013, ST Expert); “Tandem – Creating new trans-national cultural cooperation links with Ukraine and Moldova” (2010-12, Ukrainian TL), “Re-imaging of public space in European cities & its role in social & ethnocultural integration” (2006-8, Ukrainian TL).
· Practical experience working with local, national and international organisations through the implementation of projects with the engagement of public institutions, local and national authorities, private sector entities, civil society organisations, communities and professional associations.
