Common Grounds is an ongoing audio-visual research of militant anthropology about strategies of access to land. The authors meet people around Europe who are mobilising to challenge the logic of privatisation, exclusion and land degradation. The project gathers the documented stories on an online map, in order to share the ideas and strategies of those who wish to create new realities, as they all propose an alternative vision centred on abundance, commoning, and accessibility in relation to land -  challenging the capitalist ideas of privatisation, exclusion and scarcity. The title is Common Grounds to reawaken the idea in our collective imaginary that land belongs to everyone who inhabits it.

At the moment, the video content is in the form of (1) a short documentary and art film [12 minutes] highlighting the urgency of discussing access to land and alternative visions of property in the face of a socio-ecological crisis, (2) as well as a series of mini-documentaries on each story, focusing on the project and strategy, the difficulties and the regenerative aspects [maximum 10 minutes each].
