The Crow’s Conservation Foundation (CCF) is a national non-governmental organisation whose objective is to contribute to the conservation of habitat, fauna and flora through raising awareness, providing training and encouraging research thus, stimulating and contributing to sustainable use and conservation of natural areas and ecosystems; it envisions to protect biodiversity and mitigate threats to the natural environment through providing environmental education, training, mentorship of ecological restoration, biodiversity research and support for conservation and better environmental management within South Sudan and beyond. It’s registered with Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (RRC) under Chapter 3, Section 10 of the NGOs Act, 2016 and its subscribers are South Sudanese
Specifically, the foundation aims to: i- promote awareness and access to environmental and nature conservation for the benefit of biodiversity conservation and the local people; ii- promote conservation initiatives in partnership with partner organizations where appropriate; iii- promote values and beliefs which support environmental and nature conservation; iv- encourage local community involvement and support to conservation; v- provide volunteer support, individual and group development through conservation based activity; vi- provide education-based activities which support nature conservation objectives.
The Crow’s Conservation Foundation (CCF) is a registered national non-government organisation and probably the only national NGO in the field of conservation work, which got incorporated in March 2019. Other than consultative meetings with government and some local community leaders as part of our mapping exercise, the foundation has not yet had serious program engagements. That said, the foundation has professionals with rich work experience in biodiversity conservation with specialization in wildlife/natural resources management and monitoring, community conservation, including extensive senior level work experience both in the private/public sectors including international organisations, and should be up to the task to address the challenges which face conservation management of the biodiversity and natural resource in South Sudan
The Crow's Conservation Foundation (CCF) looks for opens calls for proposals that will further it's conservation agenda with it's mission and vision as it states.
Mission - is to protect biodiversity (fauna and flora) and oppose any threats to the natural environment that may come from within and outside the boundaries of the Republic of South Sudan
Vision - is to contribute to the conservation of habitat, fauna, and flora in perpetuity in South Sudan and beyond its frontiers
