Nexa - European office of Reunion Island (french outermost regions)

My name is Fanny Mazella and I work for the European Office of Reunion Island (French Island in the Indian Ocean), our goal is to help researchers from Reunion to participate in competitive calls such as Horizon 2020 programme.

Aware of the challenge of the Integration of Reunion into the European Research Area (ERA) and the Innovation Union and eager to increase recognition and readability of the Reunion territory on a national and European scale, the University of Reunion and Nexa, the Regional Agency for Development, Investment and Innovation , provide the territory with a Europe Office headed by two project engineers.

The office facilitates the mobilisation of funding sources, international cooperation and the participation of research centres, clusters and business of Reunion in national (ANR - National Research Agency) and European (Horizon 2020) competitive research and innovation programmes. 

• WATCH: looking for national and european proposals, consortium and partnerships (ANR, Horizon 2020)
• AWARENESS RAISING: themed briefings and ascertaining of local needs and information about competitive research and innovation programmes
• PROJECT STRUCTURING: support of research centres and businesses in building proposals (mobilisation of networks, partners search, drawning up budget, assistance with writing and submitting proposals, consortium contact and management)
•IMPLEMENTATION: support for teams with implementation, monitoring (financial reporting, audits, time sheets) and project communication
• DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANCE: mobilisation of research results to maximise effects of feedback for teams and the territory

the European office of Reunion Island have funding to pay for the financing of a consultant firm to help build consortia, write the proposal or read the proposal for correction. The use of consultant dedicated to the construction of a project help increase the chance of a proposal.
