About Me

A leading researcher at the Institute for Environmental Solutions (Latvia). PhD in Physics who is currently specialising in remote sensing, spectral imaging, spectroscopy, machine learning, data science. Our main focus is the development of data-based solutions in different thematics (environmental protection, agriculture, forestry, lake ecosystems, wildlife management). IES is a privately-established research and development institution.

Projects in progress:

- Wildlife (focus on ungulates) census using drones, camera traps and microphones

- Monitoring of lakes using Sentinel-2 satellite data

- Mapping and monitoring of grasslands using Sentinel-1 radar and Sentinel-2 optical data

- Monitoring of specific crops using drones

We are open for collaboration in different thematics mentioned above but not excluding new ones. Currently, following the BiodivERsA 2019-2020 Joint Call and looking for possible ;
