ASSOCIAZIONE YOUTHINK

YOUTHINK is an association of intercultural mediation, project designing and social research, located in
Avellino (IT).
The association is registered in the Register of Associations of Social Promotion (APS) of the Campania
Region.
YOUTHINK was born as a result of the 2013 Start-up of Social Entrepreneurship Announcement, promoted
by the Mercatorum University and the Avellino Chamber of Commerce, ranking third in Avellino for the
business idea:

The Association started in October 2015, proposing, as priorities, social innovation, cultural development
and territorial cohesion, through actions of:
- Intercultural mediation;
- Social projects and scientific and social research;
- Active inclusion.
YOUTHINK carried out, from 2015 to 2018, intercultural mediation activities in 7 Reception Centers (CAS),
located in the province of Avellino, developing innovative methodologies of support, integration and
empowerment of skills, through laboratory activities, Italian lessons, sociological, psychological and
anthropological support.
Over the three-year period, the activities involved around 700 asylum seekers, mainly from Sub-Saharan
African countries, and beyond.
From 2017 to 2018 it has an agreement with the Prefecture of Avellino for the direct management of the
CAS "Resort YOUTHINK" located in Avellino, which hosted 42 young asylum seekers from Nigeria, Gambia,
Ghana, Senegal, Mali, Sierra Leone and from Guinea Conakry and Somalia.
The protection and promotion of rights, orientation for international protection, social inclusion and
cultural exchange are only some of the objectives of their activities.
