Recombinant enzymes for the improvement of the Sugarcane Agro-industry

The Cuban Sugarcane Agro-industry needs a strong diversification in order to obtain higher added value products from sugar. The production of some enzymes from the wastes or by-products of the sugar production process could be an interesting alternative such enzymes that could be applied later in the same process of sugar production to improve some of its quality parameters, but also could be use to generate some sugarcane derivatives with higher added value than sucrose.
