Community Development and Ecosystem Bussiness.

One Village One CEO (OVOC) is one of the Rural Business Ecosystem Innovation Programs Based on BUMDes Empowerment which was initiated in 2018 through coaching young farmers and pesantren-based santripreneurs in Bogor. The coaching activities include land facilitation, capital, assistance, technology, and market partnerships with off-takers by forming an integrated upstream-downstream business ecosystem. To respond to the high growth in demand for agricultural products, in 2019 there was an increase in the scale of the village-

based business ecosystem and the expansion of target communities to 53 villages in six regencies in West Java, such as Bogor, Sukabumi, Cianjur, Garut, Bandung and Subang in collaboration with PT. Astra International through the Astra Welfare Village Program.

The village-based business ecosystem is carried out by mobilizing BUMDes and facilitating agricultural production, digital platform development, human resource capacity building, offline and online marketing (e-commerce/marketplace) and business assistance. In 2020, IPB sent students and experts to conduct learning and mentoring at BUMDes integrated with the Merdeka Belajar – Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program through the One Village One CEO program.

Oversupply of fresh agricultural produce has become a classic problem at the farmer level, so that added value is increased through the application of appropriate technological innovations to become processed products through training and mentoring by students. In 2021 IPB will also scale up innovations in rural business ecosystems based on BUMDes: One Village One CEO (OVOC) and One Village One Innovation (OVOI) in the fields of agriculture, animal husbandry and agricultural processed products from 53 villages to 100 villages in West Java Province in order to realize the Independent Prosperous Village. In 2022, IPB will expand the OVOC program area in the provinces of East Java, Riau Islands, Riau, DKI Jakarta, Central Borneo, and West Nusa Tenggara.
