Project idea:
Advanced solutions for mitigating power degradation to increase the lifespan of a photovoltaic power plant.
Objectives:
- Improving the operation and increasing the reliability of photovoltaic systems;
- Developing of an inspection, measurement and monitoring plan, based on real-time data evaluation;
- Defining the methodology for the definition of the real performance rate of photovoltaic power systems;
- Applied knowledge of failure mechanisms and aging materials of the PV modules;
- Material defect analysis and evaluation of PV module degradation;
- Developing a database with non-conforming materials and defects generated by them;
- Developing a predicting model of the lifetime of photovoltaic panels, in real time operation;
