Looking for scholars, SMEs, institutions, and practitioners to collaborate on a project on food, sustainable tourism, and intangible cultural heritage.
Mass tourism has emerged in the past decades as a major force reshaping communities and the places they live in, including public spaces where people dine and gather, such as cafes, bars, public parks, and restaurants. The project we are developing frames a new approach to the study of culturally significant spaces of food consumption in light of mass tourism, and tests innovative avenues for the coexistence of tradition and touristification.
