The specific objective of the DAS-HYDRO project is to establish market oriented service for Data Assimilation Support (DAS) in order to provide all interested third parties with an effective tool for the improvement of reliability of their existing hydrological forecasting.
DAS service will use Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in order to provide better handling of existing relevant data for various hydrological models in a non-intrusive manner. Thanks to the implementation of improved data assimilation methods and the Cloud computing environment, this service will help third parties that already use various hydrological models to deliver trustworthy forecasts based on the monitored data. Additionally, it will provide decision support for scenario analysis in the development of a monitoring network, with respect to the requirements of the corresponding hydrological model.
