The main idea is to celebrate active directors in their late summer and the force that motivates them to keep working.
Draft idea: A 3 day retrospective of AJ cinemathography, crossing through the films made in the '70, '80 and last decade. Screenings are opened by an introduction into the context in which the movie apperead, it's contribuiton to cinema and the main ideas seeded in the film. After each screening, a moderator will engage the audience in a discussion on how the film was perceived and what resonated with eachone.
It's a form of time traveling and connecting with life at a deeper level.
