This project application is submitted by Masaryk´s Business Academy, Kostelec nad Orlicí, a college which offers three fields of education: Business Academy, Economic lyceum, Information Technology. The college has a tradition of more than a century, and throughout its history it has focused either on general secondary education or the education of economics.The school puts emphasis on vocational and language training. Each of our students studies two foreign languages, the English language is compulsory and they choose out of German, French, Spanish or Russian. Throughout the study, students have a total of seven lessons of foreign languages per week. Business Academy and Economics Lyceum in the third and fourth year teach a subject called Trade and Economic English, whose goal is to prepare students for the work environment in English-speaking countries. The focus and targets of the school logically follow great efforts to provide increasingly better education, in accordance with improving language skills. The aim of the implementation of this activity is to contribute significantly to meeting the long-term objectives of the Business Academy of T G Masaryk in Kostelec nad Orlicí, which is teaching certain special subjects, both in economics and computer technology courses, in English. We plan to teach mathematics in English and on the second stage the social sciences as well. This plan is described in the strategic development plan of the school and we believe that its fulfillment will increase the success of our students in school-leaving examinations in a foreign language, passing tests of English for Business certificate, their entrance examinations to universities and colleges, and also their general success in further studies or careers.Therefore, the content of the project is to enable eleven well-educated teachers of foreign languages (English, French, Russian) and other subjects to participate in foreign training courses focusing on either the acquisition or the increase of professional language competence or to increase pedagogical competencies. The aim is to further improve the quality of education provided to pupils, enrichment of the school methodology and the use of new procedures in line with the acquired knowledge and experience. Participation in the training course will bring not only the benefit in ongoing education classes, but also other benefits in the form of sharing experience with colleagues from other countries and understanding the lifestyle and culture of the course destination and other countries represented by foreign teachers.Selection of participants was carried out on the basis of information about the strategic development plan for the school in future periods provided during a school operational briefing. Those interested in active participation in its implementation in the field of foreign language teaching and expand international activities underwent an interview with the headmaster and his deputy, and were assessed to what extent their participation in the training course abroad would benefit. Selected participants after consultation with the school management select the type of course and the area where they would find it most effective to pass a course.In accordance with currently applicable legislation, there will be tender to select the best supplier of the project activities. The tender documentation will be published on the school website and the E-ZAK portal. After the completion of the contract with the selected contractor and contracts with participants of training courses abroad, which will be committed to active participation, accompanied by proof of payment of medical expenses abroad before leaving, all accounting documents to be brought when they return and to disseminate the results of education.Participants will be monitored during the language course by the project administrator or school principal, through e-mail or telephone communication.After they return from the training activities abroad, the participants will share their gained experience with their colleagues; it will be further developed in the relevant subject committees to be updated as appropriate education plan and thematic programs. Other dissemination activity, through which we plan to disseminate project results, is the organization of a workshop with the participation of representatives of the founder, partner organizations and secondary schools in the region and school teachers. The learning outcomes will be assessed based on observations made in a subsequent period by the headmaster.The project results will be disseminated within the school presentations to pupils and teachers, on the school website, on its Facebook profile, in articles in the local press, on notice boards located in the school building and in the foyer of the Municipal Office Kostelec nad Orlici.
