The project “Knowledge is inspiration, truth and power. ” is the result of the desire of the teaching staff of Otec Paisii High School to adapt to international changes and to achieve Europe 2020 headline targets in education area.By participating in the project we aim our teachers to:- develop a strong motivation for lifelong learning- improve their professional competences and skills- contribute to the prestige of our institution''Pilgrims'' is the Educational institution we have chosen to be our partner as it offers high quality training with a European dimension in the three areas corresponding to our pedagogical searches:-teaching young learners-teaching pupils with special educational needs-teaching English using new technologiesFive representatives of our pedagogical staff that meet both our and the training organization criteria and demonstrate a willingness to share what they have learned will participate in mobility.Accommodating students with special needs and helping them fulfil their potential is one of the greatest challenges facing teachers today. The course ‘’Special needs and Inclusive Learning’’ will explore ways of implementing an anticipatory and proactive approach to creating a classroom culture that recognises and celebrates difference. Through examples and activities it will introduce ways of identifying students with Specific Learning Difficulties and strategies to help them learn. Our participants will explore methods to promote inclusive learning and embrace difference in the classroom. It will become apparent that adapting our teaching style and materials to accommodate diversity can often benefit all students. Focusing on individuals’ different areas of strength can lead to an enhanced learning experience for everybody. The aim is to create a class where the students feel part of a mutually supportive and inclusive team because….. Together Everyone Achieves More!The course ''Practical Uses of Technologies in the Language Clasroom" has been designed to help teachers with basic computer skills learn how to use a variety of free applications for educational purposes. The focus will be on using the technology to enhance face to face learning and extend learning beyond normal contact hours. Our teachers will learn how to use the applications, create tasks and lessons and evaluate what learners do. It will also focuses on classroom managements issues. Each participant will develop an e-portfolio of products (lesson plans, activities, podcasts, images, handouts, as appropriate) to take home and share.As a result of attending this course, our participants will gain confidence in their ability to use technology for educational purposes.They will also become more competent and confident users of English.The course ‘’Methodology and language for young learners” in which one member of our school will take part is for teachers of young learners who need to improve their ability and confidence in their use of English and develop their teaching skills for young learners. This course is practical. By ‘doing’ activities designed for the primary classroom, out teacher will experience the methodology from the young learner’s perspective. The programme of the training activities involves: classroom management skills, communicative learning activities, teaching and developing thinking skills, adapting text book materials to create more dynamic lessons, materials development .The creative atmosphere in an intercultural environment will be carried over into our classrooms. Our participants will improve their level of English language and their communication skills in a real language environment, which will make them more confident in teaching. This will contribute to enhance the image of our school as a modern educational institution with well trained staff, capable to create successful personalities in the future.Providing a wide public response will contribute to the promotion of European cooperation and encourage future partnerships. To realize a large-scale publicity of successful participation in our project we plan the following activities:-organizing an information campaign (brochures, information on municipality website, school website, meetings and presentations) -exposition of project ideas and cultural places of interest visited in UK-flyers with highlights from activities carried on "Find England for yourself and for others" in Bulgarian and English-organizing open classes and workshops-thematic workshops on three topics on which teachers from seven local public schoos will be invited-summerizing information usefull for teacher and publishing it on the website of the school; -sharing experience on the eTwinning website and social networks
